Carole Nash hails “robust” results despite profits drop Crain's Manchester Business
Carole Nash Insurance Consultants, the motorcycle insurance specialist based in Altrincham, has described its results for, 2009 as “robust”, despite posting an 18 per cent decline in pre-tax profits to 6.2m (7.6m).
The firm's turnover also dipped slightly to 24.2m (24.9m), but commercial director Simon Jackson said that given the recession which took place last year and the fact that motorcycles were often a discretionary spend the firm was “delighted that we've secured such a satisfactory performance”.
“For many customers motorcycling is a lifestyle choice rather than, as with motoring, a practical necessity,” said Jackson.
“The underlying strength of the business coupled with new and planned innovations means we are well placed to secure growth as the economy recovers.”
